What's going on at Roundtable this Thursday?
The Cubs are going to hold a raingutter regatta, with breakouts focusing on different ways for boys to build boats to race. We'll also look at ways to bring this fun activity to your pack meeting.
The Boy Scouts and Varisty Scouts are going to meet at Southernmost pavillion (#4) in Rock Canyon Park to review a variety of Scout skills.
The New Scout (11 year olds) breakout will be talking about hiking trails in the Rock Canyon area.
The Boy Scout breakout will be talking about backpacking (trails and gear). Consider this more of an intermediate/advanced session. Scout leaders are welcome to attend whichever session is more appropriate for their level of experience and/or their Scouts level of interest.
The Varsity breakout will emphasize more involved activities focusing on rock climbing and mountain biking. These will be two separate sessions.
The Venturing Breakout will be at the Utah State Park Marina and will begin at 6PM. We're going to get a short safety briefing and orientation then go out sailing with Sea Scout Ship 3 on their Sunfish sailboats. We'll need to close up shop between 8 and 8:30 to get everything loaded back up. The Sea Scouts will provide all of the safety equipment needed.
